How do you specify a disconnect?

  • Ampere rating (30, 60, 100, 200, 400, 600, 800, 1200 A)
  • Poles and voltage (2- or 3-pole; 240 or 600 V; AC or DC)
  • Fusible or non-fusible (and fuse class if fusible)
  • Enclosure / NEMA type for the environment

Square D heavy-duty switches read like H361 (fusible, 30 A, 600 V) or HU361 (non-fusible); Eaton heavy-duty switches read like DH361. Send the catalog number and we confirm the build.

How do we quote a disconnect switch?

  1. Send the catalog number (for example H361 or DH362), or the ampere rating, poles, and voltage.
  2. We confirm fusible or non-fusible, enclosure (NEMA type), and HP rating.
  4. We quote condition, price, and lead time: new, surplus, or used-tested, timing confirmed with the request.
  5. Need a custom enclosure, back-panel, or mounting? Our fabrication side builds and modifies enclosures to fit.

FAQ

What is the difference between a fusible and non-fusible disconnect?
A fusible disconnect holds fuses and provides overcurrent protection as well as isolation; a non-fusible disconnect only isolates and locks out the circuit, with no fusing. Tell us which you need, and the fuse class if fusible.
Do you carry obsolete safety switches?
Yes. We source discontinued and obsolete disconnect switches as surplus and used-tested, and we cross-reference to a current equivalent where one exists. Condition is disclosed before sale.
What do you need to quote a disconnect switch?
The ampere rating, number of poles, voltage, fusible or non-fusible, and the enclosure or NEMA type for the environment. A catalog number off the existing switch starts the identification check.
