Edmundson Industrial sources disconnect switches — also called safety switches — across the full range: fusible and non-fusible, heavy-duty and general-duty, single- and double-throw, from 30 A through 1200 A and 240 V to 600 V. Send the catalog number, or the ampere rating, poles, voltage, fusible or non-fusible, and enclosure, and we quote availability, condition, and lead time.
Independent sourcing, not an authorized distributor. We supply disconnect switches new, surplus, and used-tested, with condition disclosed before sale. Manufacturer names are used here for reference only.
Types we source
| Type | Notes |
|---|
| Fusible | Switch plus fuses (Class H / J / R) — provides overcurrent protection |
| Non-fusible | Switch only — isolation and lockout, no fusing |
| Heavy-duty (HD) | 240–600 V, higher endurance, industrial duty |
| General-duty (GD) | 240 V, light commercial and light industrial |
| Double-throw | Manual transfer between two sources |
| NEMA enclosures | Type 1 indoor, 3R rainproof, 4 / 4X watertight / stainless, 12 dust-tight |

How to specify a disconnect
- Ampere rating (30, 60, 100, 200, 400, 600, 800, 1200 A)
- Poles and voltage (2- or 3-pole; 240 or 600 V; AC or DC)
- Fusible or non-fusible (and fuse class if fusible)
- Enclosure / NEMA type for the environment
- Horsepower rating if switching a motor
Square D heavy-duty switches read like H361 (fusible, 30 A, 600 V) or HU361 (non-fusible); Eaton heavy-duty switches read like DH361. Send the catalog number and we confirm the build.
How we quote a disconnect switch
- Send the catalog number (for example H361 or DH362), or the ampere rating, poles, and voltage.
- We confirm fusible or non-fusible, enclosure (NEMA type), and HP rating.
- We quote condition, price, and lead time — new, surplus, or used-tested, same-day on most requests.
- Need a custom enclosure, back-panel, or mounting? Our fabrication side builds and modifies enclosures to fit.
Condition & sourcing
Every disconnect switch is supplied new, surplus, or used-tested, with condition disclosed before sale and photos on request. We are an independent surplus and sourcing company, not an authorized distributor.
FAQ
What is the difference between a fusible and non-fusible disconnect?
A fusible disconnect holds fuses and provides overcurrent protection as well as isolation; a non-fusible disconnect only isolates and locks out the circuit, with no fusing. Tell us which you need, and the fuse class if fusible.
Do you carry obsolete safety switches?
Yes. We source discontinued and obsolete disconnect switches as surplus and used-tested, and we cross-reference to a current equivalent where one exists. Condition is disclosed before sale.
What do you need to quote a disconnect switch?
The ampere rating, number of poles, voltage, fusible or non-fusible, and the enclosure or NEMA type for the environment. A catalog number off the existing switch is fastest.
Are you an authorized distributor?
No. Edmundson Industrial is an independent surplus and sourcing company, not an authorized distributor. We supply disconnect switches new, surplus, and used-tested with condition disclosed before sale.
