Substation and generating plant electrical equipment outlives the companies that built it. A lineup installed in the 1970s or 1980s has usually seen the manufacturer's name change once or twice, and the parts trail goes cold long before the equipment does.

That is a records problem as much as a supply problem, and it is one we can usually work through.

The name on the door changed. The frame did not.

Westinghouse became Cutler-Hammer became Eaton. Legacy GE and Square D lines went through their own consolidations. The practical consequence is that a breaker frame that appears unsupported frequently has a documented path forward under a different brand, or a surplus supply that never stopped existing. Our cross-reference pages exist to map exactly that: Westinghouse, GE, Square D, Siemens, and Eaton.

What downtime looks like here

An outage window is a fixed, coordinated, scheduled thing, and everything about a utility or generating plant's year is planned around it. Missing it does not just cost the day — it can push work to the next window months out, with the equipment running degraded until then.

So the useful thing a supplier can do is be accurate about lead time early, not optimistic about it late. We would rather tell you in planning that a part is a six-week problem than tell you during the outage.

The honest limits

We are a supply and sourcing company. We do not perform field service, protective relay testing, commissioning, or installation, and we do not provide engineering sign-off on the suitability of a replacement for your application. That determination is yours. What we provide is the equipment, accurate condition disclosure, and whatever documentation exists for the unit.

We are an independent supply and sourcing company, not an authorized distributor. Condition is disclosed before sale on every item we supply — new, new-surplus, used-tested, or reconditioned.

FAQ

Our switchgear was built by a company that no longer exists. Can you still find parts?
Often, yes — and this is more common than people expect. Westinghouse, Cutler-Hammer, and Eaton are the same lineage. So are several of the GE and Square D legacy lines. A frame that looks orphaned frequently has a documented successor or a surplus supply under a different brand. Our cross-reference pages cover the major legacy lines. Send the number off the plate.
We have a fixed outage window. Can you commit to it?
We can commit to what we control. A purchase order accepted before 3:00 PM CT on a business day ships the same day on stocked items. On a sourced item we give you a real lead time and tell you the risk in it. What we will not do is tell you a date fits your window when we know it does not, because you would build an outage plan around it.
Do you perform testing, field service, or commissioning?
No. We supply equipment and fabricate assemblies. Testing, protective relay work, commissioning, and installation are yours or your service contractor's. We will tell you what documentation comes with a unit so your testing contractor knows what they are receiving.
What condition is the equipment, and will you document it?
New, new-surplus, used-tested, or reconditioned, stated on the quote before you commit, with photos of the actual unit on request. If your procurement process requires condition and source documentation, tell us what you need before you issue the PO rather than after.
Are you an authorized distributor?
No. We are an independent supply and sourcing company, which is why we can help on frames the authorized channel no longer supports. Where your standard requires authorized-channel supply for current-production equipment, use your distributor for that and come to us for the obsolete end.
