Yaskawa Variable Frequency Drives

Edmundson Industrial sources Yaskawa variable frequency drives across the current and discontinued lineup — the heavy-duty GA800, the compact GA500, the fan-and-pump FP605, and the legacy A1000, V1000, and P1000 drives still in service. Yaskawa model numbers start with CIMR — send the full code and we quote availability, condition, and lead time.

Independent sourcing, not an authorized distributor. We supply Yaskawa drives as new-surplus, used-tested, and sourced-to-order, with condition disclosed before sale. Yaskawa model names are used here for reference only.

Obsolete and legacy Yaskawa drives — replacement paths

Cross-references are starting points — confirm control mode (V/Hz, open-loop vector, or closed-loop) and I/O against the nameplate before ordering. We also source the original drive as surplus.

Reading a Yaskawa CIMR model number

Yaskawa drives use a CIMR model code. For example, CIMR-GA4A0009 is a GA800 (GA), 480 V three-phase (4), with a current rating coded by A0009. The older A1000 read as CIMR-AU4A…. Send the full CIMR code and we match it.

How we quote a Yaskawa drive

  1. Send the CIMR model number (for example CIMR-GA4A0009) off the drive nameplate, or the motor horsepower and voltage if you don't have one.
  2. We confirm the configuration — voltage class, HP / current, enclosure, and options (I/O, fieldbus, and control).
  3. We quote condition, price, and lead time — new-surplus, used-tested, or sourced-to-order, same-day on most requests.
  4. If the replacement changes the footprint or wiring, our fabrication side supplies adapter plates, sub-panels, and modified enclosures so the new drive mounts where the old one came out.

Condition & sourcing

Every Yaskawa drive is supplied as new-surplus (unused, from the secondary market), used-tested, or sourced-to-order, with condition disclosed before sale and photos on request. We are an independent surplus and sourcing company, not an authorized distributor.

FAQ

What is the replacement for the Yaskawa A1000?
Yaskawa positions the GA800 as the successor to the A1000 industrial drive. We source the GA800 as a replacement and also supply A1000 units as surplus to keep an existing line running.
Do you carry obsolete Yaskawa V1000 and P1000 drives?
Yes. We source discontinued V1000, P1000, and other legacy Yaskawa drives as new-surplus and used-tested, and we cross-reference them to the current GA500 and FP605. Condition is disclosed before sale.
Can you identify a Yaskawa drive from its model number?
Yes. Send the full CIMR model code off the nameplate, for example CIMR-GA4A0009, and we decode the model, voltage, and current rating and match an available drive.
Are you an authorized Yaskawa distributor?
No. Edmundson Industrial is an independent surplus and sourcing company, not an authorized Yaskawa distributor. We supply Yaskawa drives as new-surplus, used-tested, and sourced-to-order with condition disclosed before sale.
