FAQ

What is a drilling power module?
It is the power section of the SCR drive: the thyristor stacks and bridge that convert the AC bus into the regulated 0-750 V DC that drives the rig's DC motors. It is the part that delivers the current to the drawworks, mud pumps, and rotary table.
Can you supply obsolete power modules and stacks?
Yes, as new old stock, surplus, used-tested, and reconditioned, along with the individual SCR devices and gate-driver boards inside them. Condition is disclosed before sale.
What DC motor do these power?
Typically the GE752 high-torque DC drilling motor, rated 750 V DC and about 1185 A, used across land and offshore rigs. Verify your motor against its nameplate.
