A rig standing still burns day rate whether the problem is a twenty-dollar board or a whole SCR bay, and everyone on that spread knows what the hour costs. That is the standard we hold to on every other call we take.
Most rig electrical calls are not exotic. They are a known board in a known bay on a control system that went out of production while the rig kept working. The SCR house is where the majority of them land.

Away from the rig floor the equipment is ordinary industrial electrical, and the failures look like any other plant. What is different is the location. A compressor station two hours from the nearest supply house has the same problem as a rig — the part is not down the road, and nobody is driving it out tonight.

On a drilling rig, an electrical fault does not generate a maintenance ticket. It stops the entire spread, and the day rate runs regardless. On the production side it is quieter and slower but not cheaper — a shut-in well or a compressor off line is deferred production that does not come back.
We are not going to put a dollar figure on your hour. You already know it, and it is not the same as the rig down the road. What we will do is answer inside the hour, tell you plainly when we cannot find something, and not let a quote sit overnight waiting on an internal approval.
Most urgent calls do not start with a clean number. Send a photo of the nameplate and the unit, tell us what the equipment is doing, and we will work backwards. For drilling systems the Ross Hill / NOV cross-reference maps the numbers that cause the most trouble. For everything else the general cross-reference covers obsolete-to-current paths across the major manufacturers.
Same-day applies to stocked items. Sourced items move as fast as the supply chain allows, and we give you a real lead time rather than an optimistic one. We do not publish stock levels, because they change — ask, and you get the actual answer for that day.
We do not publish Zeefax or other manufacturers' part numbers as equivalents to Ross Hill numbers. Those companies build their own products; a number from one is not a cross-reference for the other, and we are not going to imply otherwise to catch search traffic. If you have a cross-reference off a datasheet or a job you have run, send it and we will work from it.
